Bush has pushed off until after the Christmas Holidays informing the American people of his plans where Iraq is concerned...there are two reasons for this:
1. He does not want to tell American families he is sending their sons and daughters, mothers and fathers off to die just before Santa Claus comes to town, unless of course you are one of those broke Americans who has had their job stolen by an illegal alien.
2. He wants to ruin the Democrats entrance into the Majority, serious screw up their 100 hour agenda by forcing them to deal with his refusal to listen to what the American public wants.
Meanwhile, let's be honest here...Bush is killing the America Military, and we will have no choice but to bring back the draft. Overstating the case? Consider these very real facts.
1. Over 60 percent of our troops are no longer COMBAT READY...they lack training, they lack EQUIPMENT.
2. Both the Marines and Army will be asking Congress for a permanent troop increase of over 30,000 men and women...reason is simple. We no longer have adequate troop stength for the missions being laid out, such as Bush's Folly in Iraq.
3. The General's will be asking both Bush and Gates to waive both the rotation terms and time limits restraints for all members of the both the National and Army Guards. That right, if you enlisted as a part time soldier, kiss your wife, kids and JOB goodbye, and prepare for deployment.
4. There is a good chance that the death toll for American troops will reach 3000 just in time for Christmas. Further, over 22,000 troops have been seriously injured, over half of them maimed, their lives never to be the same again.
Take these four realities together, and even with the blood money bonus being given out, young Americans are seriously RETHINKING the military, as they very well should be. Having to die for the chance to attend college is JUST NOT WORTH THE RISK. In fact, college would be a lot easy to come by if Bush deported all the illegals that steal jobs that should go to our young people...guess he knows there would be NO VOLUNTEERS if the job market were good, so he lets criminals come in and steal our jobs and ID's.
Seems to me, that the only way Congress can DO THE WORK OF THE PEOPLE, is to first unfund the war, and secondly bring articles of impeachment forward. America sent a CLEAR MESSAGE in the November election, and Bush has opted to be a dictator...in short, the time has come for him, Cheney and Rice to go, and that can only happen with a wholesale impeachment of the whole lot of them. Bush had his chance, and look where it has gotten us...Iran and North Korea on the verge of going Nuclear, and the Middle East in a civil war.
